The Big Gay Songbook, is an up-lifting old school pub sing-a-long given a heart warming and joyous kick up the proverbial back side. The Big Gay Songbook, celebrates the amazing music from several decades of the gay scene and beyond, so with hits from artists such as Tina Turner, Madonna, Whitney and Cher, it’s a catalogue which everyone knows.

‘These are the songs that made us gay’ cries Woo, ‘Or just seem a bit gayer when we sing them’ adds Rudi. So expect covers from Girls Aloud and Kylie, but also enjoy versions of songs by artists such as Lauren Hill, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder or unexpected dance hits given a piano make-over. The Big Gay Songbook covers songs from the 60’s through to the current charts so its a chance to reminisce as well as to scream along to your new fave hit.

The Big Gay Songbook packs new super cool performance pub The Glory each Sunday with regulars referring to it as ‘church’. Live on stage EDEN

Synthpop, Electronic Music and Pop

Eden are the acoustic embodiment of the glory days of the ‘Eighties’, they are ‘meaningful’ with a depth and sensitivity that runs deeper than their ‘catchy’ and ‘melodic’ rhythms and they are certainly awesome! They aren’t simply another band rehashing 80’s music thanks in part to the dreadful hipsters who seem to have taken credit for the sudden love of all things retro nor or they some band clinging onto their roots. Eden have managed to take all the things that were mysterious and marvellous about 80’s music and revitalised it into a sound that fits comfortably in today’s music world. It is a little disappointing that real music like Eden’s is sidelined for the auto-tuned computer generated voices of pop divas and plastic boybands but we take heart in knowing that Eden’s music is living, breathing proof that electric, Synth and pop don’t have to mean sugar coated mediocre pop songs but can have heart and real smarts.”
